At the Point of Entry, everybody will be subject to examinations which involves answering questions being asked by immigration officials, asked to present identification documents and provide personal information. This is a measure to determine who gets to enter into the country.

This examination will be conducted by a Border Services Officer (BSO) who works for the Government of Canada’s Canada Border Services Agency. In the case where your passport is not stamped, you may ask the BSO to help you stamp it before leaving the point of entry.
