UNFPA Young Professionals Program 2022
Recruitment for the 2022 Young Professionals of Africa and People of African Descent (YPAD) cohort is now open. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is offering young talent from Africa and Afro descendants another opportunity to get hired.
The “Young Professionals of Africa and African Descent” program is a starting point for an exciting career at the United Nations with the aim of attracting motivated young professionals with different academic and professional backgrounds. The time frame for the internship program is 12-24 months and the program will be taking place in New York.
Open to qualified candidates who will be 32 years of age or younger in 2022, who are self-identify as Black or who are citizens of an African country, the program offers selected candidates the opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced international environment and the potential to make an impact and develop leadership roles in international development.
In 2022, UNFPA will recruit five young professionals to join the team at UNFPA Headquarters in New York. Young professionals are offered a competitive salary and benefits package with an initial one-year contract at the P-2 level, renewable at least once, subject to satisfactory performance.
