Willian rejects newest Chelsea contract extension offer

Brazilian forward Willian has reportedly rejected a fresh contract renewal offer from Chelsea, and now looks very set to leave Chelsea this summer.

Willian has impressed this season with his consistency and professionalism, which was an ingredient they lacked when Willian missed FA cup final which they lost to Arsenal.

Frank Lampard has always been a strong fan of Willian, and has provided regular updates on the results of the contract talks between the two parties. However, Willian has stood his ground on a three year contract, but Chelsea are not really willing to hand over a three year deal to him (Willian).

Footy Area now understands that all parties involved are very unhappy with each other, and every talk of a possible extension has ended very badly. With Willian now reportedly keen to end his stay with the London club, he has confirmed that he would not be signing a new contract at all.

Arsenal are hot on the chase for Willian, and are understood to have already sent a representative to meet with Willian and discuss the fresh three year contract that he actually needs.

Alongside Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are also said to be monitoring the situation closely, with a few MLS sides also monitoring the player’s case.
