Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Willian on a three-year contract after his departure from Chelsea on a free transfer.
Willian left the Blues on a free transfer for their London rivals after his contract expired.
In an emotional letter last week , he announced his departure from Chelsea after seven years at Stanford Bridge following failure to agree fresh terms for his contract.
The Blues had offered the player a new contract, but it is believed they were unwilling to offer him a three-year deal which Arsenal had offered.
William will wear the number 12 shirt as he joins the Gunners at a crucial time in Mikel Arteta’s reign, as he looks to establish his side at the Emirates after a shaky start to life as boss after taking over from Unai Emery last December.
The Brazilian Winger featured for Frank Lampard’s side 47 times in 2019-20, scoring 11 goals.
Willian went on to make 339 appearances, scoring 63 goals and registering 59 assists for Chelsea after joining from Anzhi Makhachkala. He lifted the Premier league on two occasions, won the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup during his stay with the Blues.
