Manchester United are the latest club to be credited with interest in James Rodriguez, with PSG, Bayern Munich and Inter all monitoring the Columbian’s situation, and are reportedly keen to offer him a
Spanish media Mundo Deportivo suggests that Rodriguez has an offer on the table from Manchester United but is not convinced by a move. Jorge Mendes his agent is currently trying to persuade him to accept the offer and start afresh in England.
James Rodriguez, 29, is already having doubts over a move to Manchester United, as he feels he would face stiff competitions from fan favorite Paul Pogba, and new ‘Prince Charming’ Bruno Fernandes, which would likely see him take a bench role which is similar to his situation in Madrid.
Considering United only parted with an initial £47m to bring Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford, they would now have to pay a mammoth fee for someone who will still probably sit on the bench, considering James Rodriguez’s humongous wages.
This is not the first time that Man Utd have been linked with James Rodriguez. The same story seems to be coming up every summer, with Madrid even instigating some rumors in a bid to offload Rodriguez.
Solskjaer is keen to bolster his attacking force, and although Rodriguez would do that, signing Sancho is all he cares about right now. However, James Rodriguez would certainly not come so cheap.
This may well be another ploy from Real Madrid to create an interest in Rodriguez, and for now, it is more likely Man Utd will sign Ronaldinho if you ask me.
