Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are very close to agreeing on a price for Jadon Sancho, with the player reported to have now agreed a five-year contract at Old Trafford.
Man United’s chase for Jadon Sancho has been the major talk of the summer, and though it almost seemed like the two clubs had different beliefs about his price, it has emerged this morning that the move is close to being completed.
Footy Area reported on Monday that Dortmund have already begun to hunt for a replacement for Jadon Sancho, and now, Bleacher Reports states that the player has signed a five-year contract with Manchester United worth at least £250,000 a week.
This new salary from Man Utd will see him earn almost double of what he earned at Dortmund. Even though Bild suggests that BVB raised his salary last season to £120,000 a week.
The Guardian adds that although Man United and Dortmund have not yet agreed on the final fee, the two teams are now very close to agreeing.
Man United are expected to pay the sum of €100m (£90m) over the next three years, with an additional €20m (£18m) in performance related add-ons, which could only be fulfilled from European trophies and future individual awards.
It looks quite certain that both teams will be getting what they want. Manchester United were willing to break their previous transfer record without crossing the £100m barrier due the pandemic.
Dortmund, on the other hand, have stood firm for €120m they were hoping to earn from Sancho’s move this summer.
