The WHO Young Professionals Internship Program
The WHO internship program for young professionals are now open. Young Professionals are assigned to regular WHO positions and are fully immersed in WHO technical work. Young professionals benefit from professional support, networking, mentoring and personalized learning. Opportunities to support them in achieving their personal career goals during this time. To increase their knowledge and expand their professional network, Young Professionals may be assigned to another WHO office for short-term learning assignments.
The Young Professionals Program aims to increase the representation of nationals from least developed countries in the WHO workforce. The Young Professionals Program will build capacity from and for developing countries through a structured program with clear learning objectives. At the end of the program, Young Professionals should have the ability and opportunity to apply for long-term positions in WHO or positions in international or national public health organizations. Young professionals bring new perspectives and a different mindset to WHO by applying their acquired knowledge and skills at the country level. Young professional vacancies are posted regularly and may not be available at all times.

Applicants above 35 are not qualified for the internship.
Applicants from the following countries are qualified.
Only applicants from least developed countries are qualified for the internship.
Applicants must have a university degree in a relevant field and from their home country or other least developed countries that are qualified for the program.
Applicants must have a relevant degree before or at the time of application and at least two years of work experience.
Applicants must be fluent in English language.
