The impressive Pulisic helped Chelsea fight back to 4-3, raising hopes of at least leaving Anfield with a draw to enable them finish in the top 4, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain quickly responded to their questions with a fine finish to deny Chelsea any points.
Chelsea need a point against Wolves to qualify for next season’s Champions league. Leicester and Man Utd will play of for the last Champions league spot.
Chelsea head home to prepare for that crucial last game with Wolves, whole also praying that none of the other top 4 aspirants pick up points on the final matchday.
