Barca midfielder Ivan Rakitic has once again come out to dismiss the rumors about his future at Camp Nou, he says there’s no truth concerning an exit this summer.
The Croatian veteran’s contract runs out in 2021 but he has been tipped to leave Barca before his contract runs out, as Inter and Sevilla continue to monitor the situation.
Obviously, to the dismay of the Spanish media, who seem desperate to make stories from his proposed exit, however, he has never been keen to discuss a potential exit.
This was once more the issue this week, as he told Croatian media Tportal: “Some days ago I spoke to the officials and the end is that I have nothing to say because my contract runs until the summer of 2021, and this is where I want to be and play for.
“Moreover, my family are settled in this city. There’s no cause to think about leaving. I’m training well, and I’m sure that I’ll be at Barca much longer.”
Ivan Rakitic seemed unhappy in his interview concerning how the media seem to be creating so many stories concerning his future. The midfielder was quoted saying “he’s not a sack of potatoes” and he can make decisions about his future without the help of the media.
