Barcelona have reportedly rejected a huge amount of money from an ‘unnamed European heavyweight club’ for Ansu Fati. This comes as a shock, despite the clubs need to raise transfer funds ahead of the summer transfers.
The Catalan club are continuously being linked to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, and are also very keen to bring back the prodigal son Neymar back to the Camp Nou. These two are currently at the top of the transfer wishlist for the club.
However, due to the expenses due to the Corona outbreak, the club may find it difficult to land Neymar. This is due to the fact that Bayern Munich are reluctant to exercise Coutinho’s €120m buy out fee.
With the club desperate to raise funds, they have still not hidden the fact that they treasure Ansu Fati at the club. With Barca viewing the La Masia product as the ‘future of the club’, and have refused to cash in on him.
They are indeed willing to lift the 17-year old up the pecking order to Ousmane Dembele’s injury issues and inconsistencies.
The Barcelona Hierarchy have currently slapped the ‘unsellable’ price tag on the youngster. They are eager to continue to promote the production of future stars from the La Masia. And Ansu Fati who is the current La Liga youngest ever goalscorer is an apex example of such talent.
