Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has called for the need to strengthen his squad after crashing out of the Europa League on Tuesday.
Nuno Espirito Santo expects to make a few signings this summer after Wolves fell out of the Europa League.
The Premier League team suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Sevilla in the quarter-final clash on Tuesday with Lucas Ocampos’ 88th-minute goal being enough to see off a Wolves side that couldn’t even get up to 20% of the total ball possession.
Raul Jimenez saw an early penalty saved by Yassine Bounou, before Ocampos scored the winner in the 88th minute.
Wolves boss Nuno wants to get some reinforcements for his team ahead of the 2020/21 season.
“I think it’s time for some changes here. If you analyse the squad, the team that started the game, it is the same team from my first year,” he told a news conference.
“Now it’s obvious we need better players to make us stronger. We made some silly mistakes that shouldn’t be repeated.”
Nuno added: “Looking at the boys, I feel we should have played better, considering we’ve come this far.
“I know it’s going to be hard to see some of my boys go, we have been together for four years. Now we just have to enjoy the break, and plan for possible reinforcements.
“Going forward, we need to make good decisions by signing the players that can take us forward.”
Wolves finished in seventh place this season, losing out on a European spot on the final day of the season.
