Fireboy DML has taken to twitter to express his delight for being featured in this year’s Fifa 21 edition by EASPORTS.
Popular video game producers EASPORTS have released the latest soundtrack accompanying the Fifa 21 edition of the best selling football game.
The Nigerian Afrobeats star is one of the many talented upcoming acts to be featured by EA in this latest edition of the popular sports game.
Adedamola Adefolahan, who is popularly known as Fireboy DML, has seen his hit song ‘Scatter’ selected as part of the soundtrack to accompany Fifa 21.
The football gaming franchise which will be released on October 9, 2020, have decided to give a voice to many young and talented musicians from across the globe.
Fireboy DML is already a very popular figure in the Nigerian Music Industry, and reached international stardom when his debut album got over 100 million digital streams across various platforms globally.
Unlike previous editions, this year’s Fifa 21 playlist includess a wide-ranging mix of musicians hailing from all over the globe.
Including genres that range from alternative to hip-hop and pop.
While Fireboy DML is on the main Fifa 21 soundtrack and playlist, his compatriots Kah-Lo (Exit Sign), Nnena (Work it Out) and Rema and Rvssian (Beamer) settle for a place on Fifa Volta (Ultimate) soundtrack.
Other musicians who feature on the Fifa 21 soundtrack include Tame Impala, Dua Lipa, LA Priest and Glass Animals.
The selection of songs now available on Spotify, Apple and Deezer replicate the tendency for Fifa soundtracks to champion fresh, eclectic talents from international waters.
In an interview with Goal, Fireboy DML is delighted with this achievement which he feels would embed his name in the sands of time.
“My second studio album, ‘Apollo’ is about evolution, growth, love and the pain that comes with it. My legacy will not be forgotten,” he told Goal.
PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé has been confirmed as the cover star for Fifa 21.
While Barcelona talisman remains the top rated player for the third year in a row with a rating of 93, placing him ahead of Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who is rated 92.
