Mbappé ruled out due to injury

Following an X-ray scan, Paris Saint-Germain have revealed that Kylian Mbappé will be sidelined by injury for at least three weeks due to a very bad sprain on his right ankle.

The Ligue 1 holders claimed a domestic double on Friday thanks to Neymar’s solitary first half goal, but there was some concern on the players’ faces just before an hour of play when Mbappé was forced out clutching his ankle.

Kylian Mbappe has now been ruled out of Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League quarter-final match against Atalanta next month due to this sprain injury.

The French superstar had scans on his ankle to determine the extent of the injury on Monday. However, the good news is there’s no serious fracture on the ankle, but he will miss the next three weeks.

Mbappe will also not feature for PSG in the last ever Coupe de la Ligue final against Lyon on Friday.

However, Kylian Mbappé is expected to be fully recovered from his sprain injury to feature in the latter stages of the Champions League. But that is only if Paris Saint-Germain are able to qualify from this round, after they’ve managed to beat Atalanta on August 12, in Lisbon.
