Manchester United prodigy Mason Greenwood just can’t stop scoring a goal at the moment, the more games he plays, more goals he has. It’s just unavoidable at the moment
Manchester United’s increasingly popular wonderkid has now scored four goals in his last three matches, and 16 in all competitions this campaign.
It is quite scary how good he can still become. At the moment there are no limits for the 18 year old, and there is no stopping him.
His goal against Aston Villa was well executed. Greenwood picked up the ball up on the edge of the box, shaped to shoot, and released a rocket so fast that Pepe Reina could just stop and stare.
Former United player Patrice Evra was a pundit on Sky Sports for the 3-0 win Villa, and he was amazed at Greenwood’s technical ability.
Like the whole world is doing, Evra also made the comparison between Greenwood and his former United teammate Robin van Persie. He also urged him to keep working hard, and keep learning from his manager.
Former United defender David May and former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel also expressed their delight about Greenwood’s goal scoring abilities.
Greenwood is definitely not done yet. He now looks better and better with every passing game and he has earned the right to start in this United team.
Solskjaer told the club’s website: “You cannot leave a player out when he’s scoring goals for fun. That is impossible. It is never ever done”
What is really impressive about Mason Greenwood is the way he can score a goal from anywhere on the pitch, with both feet. Opponents just don’t have an answer for the youngster.
Mason Greenwood makes scoring a goal look so easy. He has brought his academy exploits to the first team, and it is paying off.
