Manchester City Winger Sane Rejects New Contract

Pep Guardiola has openly admitted Leroy Sane won’t be signing a renewed contract at Manchester City, revealing the winger has turned down ‘two or three’ contract proposals from the club to prolong his stay.
The Catalan boss was speaking in his pre-match news conference before the Citizens’ game against Burnley on Monday, and one among the most topics of dialogue was the longer term of the Germany international.
With Guardiola now confirming that the club’s efforts to maintain hold of Sane have fallen flat, he said a move away will happen if an agreement is found with a buying club.

Everyone is fit and we will take decisions that depend on many, many reasons. I decide in that moment the way they are training. I will try to let them play.
“Leroy has rejected to renew his contract,” he said. “Everyone knows. If at the end of the season the clubs agree he can leave, if not he will leave at the expiration of his contract. The club ha now offered him a renewal two or 3 times and he has rejected it.”
As far back as July, it had been revealed by 90min that Sane was considering moving to the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, with the subsequent updates being that the forward was growing ‘anxious’ over the move, as he wished to seal the deal as soon as possible.
