Man Utd have agreed an initial deal to bring Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford. Prior to this agreement, the English side have seen all their recent bids for Sancho turned down, including their most recent £89m offer for the winger.
Dortmund have now accepted that there is no way they can convince the star winger to remain in Germany next season, but they have remained resolute on their asking price, insisting they will not accept below €140m (£124m) for the attacker.
However, right up to this moment, Man United have refused to meet that particular figure, citing the Covid-19 enforced break as the main reason for their financial problems. And reports reaching Footy Area confirms that Dortmund are now prepared to listen to a reduced fee, so as to finally put an end to the long saga.

The German side are believed to have now agreed with Man Utd to an initial deal of £60m for Sancho, as well as performance related add-ons that will raise the final offer to £100m in future.
Although that is a breakthrough in negotiations, United are still giving excuses to Dortmund, especially over the mode of payment of the initial price. With United still offering to pay the amount twice rather than a full £60m once.
Footy Area understands that Manchester United are still very reluctant to break the £100m barrier, and are still holding out for an £89m figure that they used to sign Paul Pogba in 2016. But all bids of £89m for Sancho have been thrown into the dustbin by Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund’s desire to see out this long transfer saga led to an agreement to the reduced fee, as they plan to quickly get a replacement for Sancho, and plan for next season.
Dortmund have already started planning for the 2020/21 season, and it is very clear that Sancho does not feature in those plans, with the club confirming they want all their transfers finalized before the club resumes training on August 10.
