Liverpool have unveiled their new home kit ahead of the 2020/21 season, marking the beginning of their most lucrative kit deal in history with Nike.
The new multi million pound deal with Nike was first announced in January, with Liverpool set to pocket over £30m even before shirt sales, as well as a sizeable percentage of the profits from shirt sales.
Liverpool fans all over the globe have been nearly killed with the joy of anticipation after Liverpool announced that Nike will replace New Balance as their kit producers next season. Fans have wondered what Nike was cooking up for the biggest club in England during the Covid-19 enforced break.
The result is something to be very delighted about, as it boasts a slick red color with white highlights, a white v-neck collar complete with a grassy green trimming and the traditional red shorts and socks.
The Liverpool new home kit for the 2020/21 season was met with jubilation and admiration from the Liverpool squad.
Current kit sponsors reportedly dragged Nike to court over the forceful stealing of their 3 year deal with Liverpool in January. However, they lost the case and Nike signed a lucrative 4 year deal with Liverpool.
Fans will have a good feel of the jersey when Liverpool take to the field next season to defend their Premier League title, which they won after leaving every other team behind in the race for this season’s trophy, finishing 17 points ahead of closest challengers Man City.
