Leeds complete the signing of Rodrigo

Leeds United have announced the arrival of Spain international Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia for a club record fee of £26m.

Leeds United took to their official social media handles to announce Rodrigo’s arrival for a club-record fee.

The 29-year-old Spanish international has signed a four-year contract with Marcelo Bielsa’s team, who secured promotion to the Premier League in 2019/20 for the first time in over 20 years.

Leeds have reportedly brought Rodrigo Moreno to Elland Road for an amount in the region of £26million (€30m).

Rodrigo managed only seven goals in 34 appearances across all competitions last season, although his season was hampered by recurring knee problems.

Rodrigo is an accomplished attacker, in his previous stint with Benfica, he was part of a treble-winning squad in 2013/14 and twice reached the Europa League final before joining Valencia in 2014.

In the 2018/19 season, he played a pivotal role in Valencia’s Copa del Rey victory, scoring five goals in seven appearances in the Copa del Rey, including the winning goal in the final against Barcelona, to help Valencia lift the trophy in their centenary year.

Rodrigo would be looking to put his previous season behind him and rediscover the form that made him one of the best attackers in the LaLiga.
