Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappé has dismissed news linking him with a move away from the Parc des Princes this summer, confirming in a recent press conference that he will be staying at PSG next season.
The 21 year old superstar scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in only 20 league matches in the 2019/20 season to help PSG become champions of France.
While the Ligue 1 season was abandoned early due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, PSG are currently back in training and have been playing friendly games as they prepare for the Coupe de France final and the Champions League.
Mbappé has already established himself as one of the very best footballers in the world despite his youth, and his consistency coupled with outstanding performances have seen him linked with a move to other Giants recently.
European heavyweights Real Madrid and Liverpool are the two sides that have been credited with interests, with Madrid claiming to be confident of landing him this summer.
However, the star has confirmed that he will not be going anywhere for now, telling Footy Area france: “This is the 50th year in the clubs history and it is going to be special to the fans. Therefore I am not going anywhere, all I want to do is to win trophies for the team and give my best.”
It is also worth noting that any move for Kylian Mbappé this summer will be almost impossible, especially considering news of the financial implications of the Coronavirus lockdown. With the players value set at £350m, there will hardly be anyone who can afford to pay such a fee in these conditions.
PSG will next be facing on a very dangerous Atalanta team in the quarterfinals of the Champions league, with the winner of that round to face either RB Leipzig or Atletico Madrid in the semis.
