Jurgen Klopp has achieved huge success with Liverpool in recent times, but Alisson Becker believes he wants to keep raising the standard.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker paid allegiance to his manager Jurgen Klopp for his impact on Liverpool and is convinced the German coach is just getting started.
After 30 years without a single league trophy, Liverpool finally ended their title drought this season, pushing aside other competitors as they finished 2019/20 season 18 points clear of Manchester City.
Their 99 points haul is the second highest in the Premier league’s history, a feat they achieved with seven games to go, which is also the most ever achieved by a club.
Liverpool also won the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup this season, but their Champions League defence was cut short after they lost to Atletico Madrid in March, Chelsea also knocked them out of the FA Cup, and Aston Villa defeated an U-19 Liverpool side in the EFL Cup when the first-team was absent for the Club World Cup crown last December.
However, Alisson Becker felt this season has been a stressful one, and he has attributed all the success to the passion of Klopp and his desire to keep improving the club’s position.
“This was one of the most tiring seasons I’ve ever had in my career,” Alisson told Footy Area Brasil. “I don’t know if it was due to the Covid-19 pandemic, or the longer season period… It was also the season I played less games because of a few injuries.

“We were eliminated from the Champions League early, but I think this tiredness comes from just giving our all on the pitch every time.
“He trusts us to doexactly what he wants, not only during training sessions, but also during matches.
“He is a very passionate man and he shows that every day. He just wants to win and make Liverpool an even greater club than we already are.”
Alisson Becker knows how important it is to maintain the values that have gotten Liverpool to where they are right now, with collective strength rather than individual ability.
“Our team is certainly very strong together,” he continued. “Every player has plenty quality individually, added to that, we have at least four players who are the best in the world in their positions right now, especially Trento [Alexander Arnold]. So that makes us a special team.
