Napoli have cautioned they won’t permit Kalidou Koulibaly to leave Naples for anything other than his full value, maintaining their stance that the player will not go cheap. Repeating that the center-back’s worth has not decreased during the corona virus situation.
The Senegalese international who turns 29 by the end of June, has increasingly been connected with a transfer away, including to Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.
Clubs all over Europe have been affected by the effects of the virus, with impact leading to hints that it may pose a huge decider in the transfer market.
Still Napoli have no aim of letting players go below their full value, and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli said it will take a huge figure to steal away any of the club’s stars.
Concerning the Senegalese, Giuntoli told news outlet Sky Sport 24: “He is an awesome defender and Napoli have the authority to demand for the amount they want.”
Giuntoli does not agree with the stories that top players will be made available for half their value due to the Pandemic.
“They say value will reduce. But if you ask me, this is an alibi. I do not think the Pandemic problem can reduce the value of Kalidou Koulibaly and the other top players” said Giuntoli.
“Assuredly, nonetheless, we will come to value other means like a loan with an alternative to buy, which will help to delay the promises and ease the balance at once. Football can adjust quickly.”
