James Rodriguez has now gone eight full months without a single appearance for Los Blancos in the Spanish La liga.
The 28-year-old attacker last played for Madrid on the 19th of October in their 1 nil defeat at Real Mallorca.
That day also saw him feature alongside several other squad rotation players as manager Zidane rested his first team players ahead of the Champions league match against Galatasaray
That match was also Rodriguez’s seventh league match this season, starting just four of those, and scoring once.
Now that the La liga has returned to action, the player will be looking to prove himself to his manager. Although he has been left on the bench for the two matches that Madrid have played since their return to action.
With the Spanish giants still relishing the opportunity to land French super star Mbappé, Rodriguez may well be on the verge of being sold to raise funds.
It is now only a matter of time before the player openly comes out to voice his frustrations over lack of game time.
It is however unknown if any club will be willing to pay such substantial amount to land him. Not to talk of his wages which are quit me significant.
