France replicated their 4-2 World Cup finals winning scoreline against Croatia on Monday at the Stare de France, Paris.
The hosts led 2-1 heading into the halftime break, but Croatia levelled things up just 10 minutes after the break.
Goals from Dayot Upamecano and Olivier Giroud secured the 4-2 victory for France.
Croatia opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a deep corner was headed back to Dejan Lovren.
The center-back showed sublime skill to control the ball and smash it into the top left corner with his left foot.
France had a chance to equalize things in the 33rd minute after Martial played Griezmann through on goal, but the forward wasn’t composed enough to score a one-on-one chance.
Griezmann produced a superb equalizer in the 43rd minute following a well worked attacking play which started with Martial, and ended up with Martial again. However, the attacker opted to square the ball to Griezmann, and he levelled things up just before halftime.
It was Martial again who gave France the lead on the halfway stoppage time. He latched onto a Ben Yedder cross, but his effort struck the post and hit the goalkeeper before entering the back of the net.
Croatia levelled things again in the 55th minute after Kovacic found Brekalo in space in the 18 yard box.
Brekalo showed sublime skill and control to beat Benjamin Mendy and hold off Lenglet, before firing the ball into the far corner.
Substitute Upamecano gave France the lead in the 65th minute after heading in a corner onto the ground and into the net.
Giroud then wrapped things up in the 77th minute after sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.
