Premier League duo Burnley and Brighton have both started negotiations with Liverpool star Adam Lallana, as they hustle to pick up the midfielder on a free transfer this summer.

The 32 year old joined Liverpool in 2014, but he is set to end his six year stay at Anfield this season, with the intention of remaining in the Premier League for the foreseeable future.

In fact, Adam Lallana is known to be the target of many Premier League clubs, and he has previously been described as the most wanted man in the market above 30 due to the number of clubs on the hunt for a bargain deal, following the financial implications of the coronavirus crisis.

According to Footy Area, it is Burnley and Brighton who are likely to secure the Liverpool star’s services.

It is believed that the Premier League duo are both happy to offer long term deals to the experienced player, who would be able to add much needed creativity and flair to their teams.

Leicester City were once the frontrunners for some time in the race for Adam Lallana’s signature, and his connection with former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers seemed to be the secret behind the deal.

But having started negotiating with the Clarets and the Seagulls, it appears Lallana is having second thoughts over a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester, paving the way for a move to one of the previously mentioned duo.

Adam Lallana’s time at Anfield has been plagued by injuries, and although he has remained fit for the most part of this season, he has managed only 15 appearances, with the majority of those coming from the bench.

The former Southampton player has not been involved in any of the matchday squads since the league restarted in June.
