Mbappé fit to face Atalanta on Wednesday

Kylian Mbappé may get the nod to face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday if he manages to go through a full training session without pain.

Paris Saint-Germain have received an injury boost with Kylian Mbappé’s quick return to fitness, with Tuchel confirming Mbappé may play a role.

Mbappé was ruled out to miss the game after sustaining a sprained ankle ligament injury in PSG’s Coupe de France victory over Saint-Etienne on July 24.

The Frenchman was reported to be out for at least three weeks, but PSG coach Tuchel revealed he will be available to play against Atalanta on Wednesday if he manages to go through training without pain.

“If Kylian [Mbappe] trains well today and nothing strange happens, he will be available to play tomorrow,” Tuchel said during a pre-match news conference.

Kylian Mbappé has been the main goal threat for PSG this season, scoring a total of 33 goals across all competitions before the Covid-19 enforced break.

This news will be greeted with jubilations from Paris Saint-Germain fans around the globe, as they seek to have a complete squad to enable them challenge for the Champions League title.

Mbappé must surely have some super human genes if he is to fully recover in time to face Atalanta on Wednesday.
