Bayern Munich have completed the signing of high-profile Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. The Bundesliga champions have confirmed the transfer early on Friday.
The 24-year-old Germany international has agreed to a long term five-year contract at the Allianz stadium with the Bundesliga giants this Friday.
The transfer for Sane will cost Bayern Munich an initial €49m, and will rise up to €60m later in add-ons, media out let Footy Area understands.
Bayern Munich have been chasing City’s winger Sane for over two seasons now, and at a point Man City had to report them to the Court of Arbitration for sports back in 2019.
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said, ‘We are very excited to welcome Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich. He is a world class player who has proven his ability over and over for the past few years, especially with the German national team.
‘Our aim here in Bayern is to gather the best German players and the signing or Sane has proven our point.’
Lery Sane who played his first professional game for his boyhood club Shalke 04 joined English side City for an initial £37 million fee in 2016. Sane was then voted the PFA Young Player of The Year in 2017.
He was an important part of the Man City team that won the Premier league and EFL cup in 2017, and also he was instrumental when City won the domestic treble the very next season.
Sane made his National team senior debut in November 2015, and has since been a mainstay in the senior team. He was also part of the German team that reached the semi-finals of the EURO 2016.
Leroy Sane has played a total of 89 matches for the CITYZENS’, scoring 25 goals, and proiding a further 28 assists for his team mates.
