Antoine Griezmann’s family have openly come out to voice their complains against Barcelona coach Quique Setien for bringing in the striker very late in the game against Athletico Madrid.
The former Athletico Madrid player only appeared in the 88th minute to play the final two minutes of stoppage time against his former team Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann’s brother Theo quickly took to Twitter to show his concerns about Setien leaving his brother on the bench.
He tweeted, “I seriously feel like crying”. He then further went on to add “only two minutes”.
He has however deleted these tweets to avoid controversy.
Antoinne Griezmann’s father Alan also could not house his annoyance at the coach, he also to Twitter to give him a piece of his mind.
Replying to Setien’s earlier quote that bringing Griezmann into the side “destabilizes” the team, Alan also wrote on Instagram calling his son a passenger in the teams bus. He also delayed the post later.
The Barca coach has since come under criticism in recent times, and with this current incident, he will be looking to win games and provide positive results.
He has however said he would not apologise to Griezmann, although he knows the player will not take it lightly. He said he knows that the player would feel bad for only playing for two minutes.
