These are awarded to high performing students from all over the world to study a first entry four-year undergraduate degree. The opening date is not specified and the deadline is on the 17th of January 2022. The perks for this scholarship include full tuition, books, additional fees and full residence. The basic requirements however is that you must be in your final year of high school or you must have finished high school no earlier than June 2021 and you must be nominated by your school. You must be nominated however
before the 30th of November 2021.

2. The University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship

University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is primarily for bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels. The deadline is June 1st and October first. They offer up to 53 new entrance scholarships for international students who will be entering to this university for the first time. Applicants must have a minimum of 80% admission average or equivalence to be considered for the scholarship. The value for the scholarship is $5000.

3. Carleton University Richard J. Van Loon Scholarships

The value for this annual scholarship is $5000 to outstanding students from an African country. The scholarship was founded in 2005 by family, friends and colleagues in honour of Richard J. Van Loon, Carleton’s 10th President. To be eligible for the scholarship, you have to be a registered student at Carleton University.

4. MasterCard Foundation Scholarships

Available to students from Sub-Saharan Africa. The scholarship is targeted at students that are academically talented but economically marginalized. To be awarded this scholarship, you have to demonstrate commitment to giving back to your community and leadership skills to contribute to social and economic transformation. The Mastercard scholarship is available at the University of British Columbia, McGill university, University of Toronto.

5. York University Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships

The York University scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship targeted at international undergraduate students who have outstanding qualities. Valued at $20,000/year, the scholarships are awarded annually and just two are available to be won. If the student maintains high academic achievements and results, it becomes renewable for extra three years of full-time undergraduate study annually, making it a total of $80,000 for a duration of four years.

6. University of British Columbia’s International Leader of Tomorrow Award

University of British Columbia’s International Leader of Tomorrow Award is aimed at international undergraduate students who exhibit superior academic achievement, exceptional leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, and recognized achievement in other key areas. This needs based, merits based scholarship covers a student’s cost of tuition, fees and living costs.

7. Margaret McNamara Educational Grants for Women

The Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) is a non-profit charity that provides funding to exceptional women from developing countries to assist with their education and improve their leadership skills in order to improve the lives of women and children from developing countries. Valued at about $15,000 in education grants which are in turn awarded to women from developing and middle-income countries who demonstrate that upon obtaining their degree, they intend on returning to their country or other developing countries to work to improve the lives of women and children.

8. Quebec Government Scholarships

This is a scholarship that is awarded to doctoral research international students by the Quebec provincial government. It’s to help and encourage international student who are just starting out their doctorate degrees or ones who are continuing their research. It provides funding for students across different disciplines from natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields. Doctoral research grants are worth $25,000 per year.

9. Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) for Francophonie Developing Countries

This is a fully funded scholarship from the Canadian government offered to international students from French-speaking countries for university studies in both masters and doctoral degree, technical and vocational training or for short term internships.

10. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program

This prestigious scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year for three years and is available to both Canadian and international PhD students studying at Canadian universities.
